A Series of Miserable Attempts at Iambic Pentameter: Sadly Ever After

A showcase of my terrible poetry for the sake of a grade on Iambic Pentameter:

Sadly Ever After

A. D. Sage
There is disdain in me for ugly scenes
Of him and her in rain as they embrace.
I gag at thinking about two in love.
I hate that I still want it anyway.
I know the feel of feet in silky sheets,
Of sweaty hands and blushing cheeks in May,
That ends abruptly on the holidays.
I know the horrid text, “I cheated. Bye.”
I loathe those happy kissers under clouds.
Invite my sadly ever after rain.
