I have a note to myself on my wall that says: “You don’t need more time in your day. You need to decide.”
It’s a reminder to the part of myself that is a hardcore procrastinator.
However, there are times where I find the wording to be a bit harsh. So, sometimes, I take the time in the morning to tell myself, “Hey. It’s okay if you need some time. Maybe your decision today is to take the time you need to recharge. That’s valid.”
So, if you can, take some time to recharge today. Yes, we all have things to do, but we forget that sometimes we leave one of the most important things off our to do lists, and that is to step back and recharge.
Michelle Phan put it best: if a cell phone, a machine, needs time to recharge, imagine us complex human beings.
If you really don’t have time today, maybe add it to your to do list for tomorrow. You deserve time off, and your body needs it, even if it doesn’t seem like it might.
Remember that you are a wonderful human being trying your best to live this crazy thing called life. Your best is enough. Your best is always enough.
Lots of love to you, friend.
