My Camp Project:
Currently, I am working on the first novel of a trilogy. It’s working title is Maanosa Book One, because I am unoriginal and can’t think of anything else at the moment. My goal for Camp NaNo this year is to write 50,000 words.
I am 22-year-old writer who lives in the Connecticut. My hobbies include reading, playing video games, aquariums, and listening to music. My favorite authors include Patrick Rothfuss, JK Rowling, Kristin Cashore, Robin LaFevers, Kim Chance, and Margaret Peterson Haddix. My favorite noveling music includes film/video game scores, instrumental/ambient, and classic (ex: Two Steps From Hell, James Horner, etc.) My favorite camp activity is stargazing.
First-timer or returning camper?
Writing Beverage of Choice?
Tea. Prefereably a fruity kind of tea.
Best Writing Tip:
Write what you want to read.
When and Where Do I Write?
I write at my desk from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. (or midnight if I’m really into the scene/chapter I’m writing.)
Favorite Writing Snacks:
My top two are blueberries and sour patch kids.
My Writing Essentials:
To start my writing session, I need music going, my Himalayan salt lamp on, a scented candle lit, and my glasses. Bonus essentials include snacks and a mug with some tea, but I don’t necessarily need these to get writing.
Motivation: What Keeps Me Going?
I haven’t been able to write this consistently in a long time. I’ve missed it very much. Having this challenge get me into a writing routine again has really helped me feel empowered as a writer to continue writing every day. My writing time puts a smile on my face, and I want to keep that in my daily life.
